Portland based The Shins debuted their gorgeous new animated video for The Rifle’s Spiral on Nintendo 3DS. No, no. You read that right. They debuted their video on a video game machine. God, I guess it’s the future. Well, it just gives me a headache is what it does. A part of me longs for Downtown Julie Brown to introduce the new clip for me on MTV on my regular cathode ray tube tv set that weighed 500 lbs. My new tv is like an inch thick and weighs about 2 1/2 Olsen sisters.

Well, I’m glad they gave the video over to Nowness for an exclusive, since I was not about to go out and buy a 3DS. Although I wouldn’t mind having one, so you can contact me and I’ll give you my shipping address. Great! In other good news, I absolutely adore the video and the song is even better.
