Never Hide: Mark Seliger and Arianne Phillips Create Gorgeous Ray-Ban Campaign
The Bronx, 1956
1971 May Day Protests, Washington DC
Tribeca, NYC 1982
Endlessly talented stylist and costume designer, Arianne Phillips has just tweeted about one of her recent projects. She’s partnered with legendary photographer Mark Seliger on a beautiful new ad campaign for Ray-Ban sunglasses. To support the company’s 75th anniversary, the campaign is comprised of 7 photographs, each depicting an era from the company’s history. It’s brilliantly conceived and executed. The iconic shots represent each era so clearly, each with it’s own story.
One of the coolest things about this campaign is that each photograph is based on a real life experience that users posted to Ray-Ban’s website.
My favorite is 1971. What’s yours? More shots after the jump.
