RADIOHEAD PRODUCER NIGEL GODRICH AND HIS NEW BAND, ULTRAISTA

Perhaps best known as a producer for Radiohead, Beck, U2 and Pavement, Nigel Godrich has unveiled his own project, ‘Ultraista’. The track ‘Small Talk’ is the only thing we’ve heard so far, but it’s a pretty good start. It features vocals from London based artist Laura Bettison and a production similar to what we’ve been hearing from Radiohead lately, but more fun. It even reminds me a bit of some Maximum Balloon stuff.

Joey Waronker from Radiohead’s Thom Yorke side project, Atoms For Peace is a part of Ultraista as well, but it’s not yet clear if he appears as a drummer, producer, or both. The video is okay, just Laura with some sort of trippy filter draped over her.
