“Life’s Too Short For The Wrong Job”
How true that is. Some will undoubtedly call it an idealistic attitude but to be honest, I don’t see anything idealistic in wanting a job that won’t make you profoundly miserable. That’s what the wrong job does. It makes you go cold with dread every time you so much as think of Monday morning, makes you feel like you’re crawling across broken glass just to get to Friday. Basically, the wrong job makes you ill.
No-one should head into the graduate jobs market expecting the perfect job. It doesn’t exist, it never has and it probably never will. There will always be things that you like about it and things that you don’t like it. That’s normal and perfectly acceptable.
There’s a whole world of difference between working an imperfect job and the wrong job.
