Two people off-screen wield a 2 meter long razor to shave a swimmer’s entire body. The white bar that you see in place of the razor was added in post-production. Watching it makes me a little nervous. The model was covered in 28 cans of cheap drugstore shaving cream. He was cut five times. Thankfully he’s wearing a tiny Speedo so his most sensitive areas were not damaged. The shoot took ten hours. It was filmed in the Netherlands by designer, animator, and photographer Bart Hess who is a frequent collaborator of photographer Nick Knight.
