Lana Del Rey By Ellen von Unwerth

The August issue of Vogue Italia features a 9-page spread of Lana Del Rey photographed by Ellen von Unwerth. Lana looks great in these photos (even with her creepy nails). It seems like she’s getting more comfortable with herself in front of the camera. That’s a good thing because she’s also about to become the global face of H&M. Nervous and awkward never look good on a billboard.

Some of these shots are kind of funny. Like the one with Lana looking bored and sitting on a bed with three random gold bars laying about. I picture Ellen and Lana at the shoot, raiding the prop closet.

‘Here’s some gold bars! And a telephone with a light on it—oh, and a cat!’
