I thought Nicolas Winding Refn’s film ‘Drive’ was heavy on style and light on everything else. ‘Pusher’, a film he executive-produced may be the same, but with a touch more excitement. It’s the stuff we’ve all seen before: some guy gets caught up in a drug deal, it goes bad, a big Russian guy wants his money, people die.

Throw in some foreign accents, a british supermodel, and some cool camera tricks and it just might work—for a fun time at the multiplex. After all, Refn directed the movie himself last year and it got some good notice. After the success of ‘Drive’ he’s pretty busy, so he let Luis Prieto take the reins for this English remake. Thoughts?

It stars W.E.’s Richard Coyle and Clash of the Titans’ Agyness Deyn. In theaters October 26th.
