If I hear anyone say ‘warm-weather-leather’ one more time, I’m moving straight to Canada and subletting an igloo. Whenever the fashion powers-that-be start pushing leather in our pre-apocalyptic icecap-mocking weather, they need more money. Your money. It isn’t about fashion anymore, it’s about Karl calling up Anna and letting her know that sales at Chanel are slipping, so we’ll need to convince people to pay for leather pants in August. Almost instantly we have shots of Kimye walking out of the Gansevoort looking like leather-baby rejects from a Taylor Dayne video. And not from ‘Tell It To My Heart’ either, it’s more like ‘Floor On Fire’. Don’t remember that song? No one does.
