Behind The Scenes Of Miu Miu’s ‘It’s Getting Late’
A couple weeks ago we brought you the series of short films being produced by Miu Miu called ‘Women’s Tales’. Each film in the series is directed by a different female director and stars only female actors. One of my favorites is Massy Tadjedin’s ‘It’s Getting Late’. It stars Patricia Clarkson, Aubrey Plaza, Rinko Kikuchi, and Gemma Arterton.
This short clip takes us behind the scenes of ‘It’s Getting Late’. We get to hear the women talk about what it was like working on the short and we even get to hear from the director her self. Good stuff.

And everyone’s wearing Miu Miu. And by everyone, I mean Patricia Clarkson, Aubrey Plaza, Gemma Arterton, and Rinko Kikuchi. We first showed you the trailer for ‘It’s Getting Late’ a few days ago and now we get to see the short film in its entirety. It’s part of Miu Miu’s series, ‘The Women’s Tales’. It’s directed by Iranian filmmaker Massy Tadjedin.
In the film, the actresses play four very different women who are wrapping up their day and preparing for a night out. They all converge at one spot. It’s beautifully shot, well-paced and of course, expertly styled. I only have one question. If Aubrey Plaza’s playing a blogger, how does she afford Miu Miu?
The end is great. Singer Zola Jesus’ voice gives me chills. Check it out after the jump.
