As CNN continues to change its format, they’ve unveiled the first promo for Anthony Bourdain’s new show, ‘Parts Unknown’. Anthony has long been known for traveling to remote parts of the world and eating remote parts of animals, but with this new show, he’ll go beyond just the food. First up? Myanmar.

‘Parts Unknown’ debuts Sunday at 9pm ET on CNN. Looks interesting.

Audio: Alec Baldwin Interviews Lena Dunham

Alec Baldwin Here's The Thing

Lena Dunham

LENA DUNHAM IS NOT-SO-SECRETLY REPULSED BY RIHANNA AND HER LOW SELF-ESTEEM BEHAVIOR

When in holy hell did Alec Baldwin become Ira Glass? Apparently he has a podcast now and it’s sponsored by Capital One. First of all, why does Alec Baldwin need a sponsor? Call up Lena, record the conversation, and upload it to the goddamn internet. It’s totally free and you can do it in your panties (so I’ve heard).

How long have I been doing this now and suddenly Alec Baldwin’s getting paid to talk to Lena Dunham? I don’t need this shit! (Audio after the jump)

Girls vs. Boyz

[ , , , , , , , ]

Santigold is helping Lena Dunham bring a little flavor to her fabulous HBO show ‘Girls’. A few weeks ago, we got our first listen of the new Santi track for the ‘Girls’ season 2 soundtrack titled—what else—‘Girls’.

Now we have the video. It’s a fun collage of all different types of girls dancing around. Not that Santigold needs anymore comparisons to fellow artist M.I.A., but I am reminded of the latter’s song, ‘Boyz’. They’re two great, two totally different tracks, but hey, the titles and video structure (‘Boyz’ is a bunch of boys dancing around) are just begging for comparison, no?

Check out the video for ‘Boyz’ after the jump and tell us which song you prefer.

Post For Poor People: Crafting With Amy Sedaris

[ , , , , , , , ]

Now, I could watch Amy Sedaris fold laundry so I’m not complaining that she’s still hawking her book ‘Simple Times: Crafts for Poor People’. The fact that it came out two years ago (that means you should already have it) is no matter—she’s a delight!

Amy’s on ‘The Chew’ helping fellow crafter Clinton Kelly make inexpensive, last-minute Halloween wigs out of newspaper! My favorite part of the video is when she tapes her nose to look like a pig.

Video: Madonna Gave Ellen Advice When She Came Out

[ , , , , , , , ]

Madonna is on the Ellen Degeneres Show today. We’ve seen a couple teaser clips already, but today we get one that shows us a side of Maddy that we usually don’t see—a softer side. When Ellen was coming out as a lesbian, there was enormous press surrounding her and Ellen felt overwhelmed. Out of the blue, Madonna called Ellen. With respect for keeping personal things private, Ellen doesn’t divulge everything that was said on that phone call, but shares a couple thoughtful moments.

One of the things Madonna shared with Ellen during that phone call was a quote from the legendary Martha Graham. Check it out in the clip above.

M gives us her thoughts on Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, and Rihanna after the jump.

Good TV: Alfred Hitchcock On Dick Cavett

[ , , , , , ]

I’m excited to see the movie, ‘Hitchcock’ with Anthony Hopkins as Hitch, but the HBO TV movie, ‘The Girl’—about his obsession with Tippi Hedren—looks questionable. Anyway, since there’s so much Hitchcock related stuff coming up, I thought I’d share this very funny clip of the infamous director on the Dick Cavett show from 1972. Hitchcock is endlessly watchable. He’s funny and clever, which always makes for a good talk show guest.

I remember watching ‘Alfred Hitchcock Presents…’ with my mom when I was a kid. They were an entertaining thirty-minutes, but the best part was when Hitchcock would come on screen and do a little bit after the commercials. He’d talk directly into the camera and was always funny.

You see plenty of his sense of humor in this video, but we also get to hear him talk about how he filmed some of his more complicated scenes. He talks about ‘Psycho’, ‘The Birds’, ‘Rear Window’, and even the childhood trauma inflicted upon him by his mother. Fascinating.
